Business, church and community leaders will gather Wednesday for the sixth annual Charleston Community Prayer Breakfast, sponsored by the Charleston Leadership Foundation.

Former congressman and human rights advocate J.C. Watts Jr. is this year’s keynote speaker.

A star quarterback for Oklahoma University, Watts graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. At Oklahoma University, he led the Sooners to two consecutive Big Eight Championships and Orange Bowl victories. He played professional football 1981-86 in the Canadian League and was voted Most Valuable Player of the Grey Cup (Canada’s version of the Super Bowl) his rookie season.
